About

This comprehensive class-wide study was inspired and born out of concerns regarding the class safety of COX-2 inhibitors and whether drug safety monitoring was time-sensitive enough for clinical practice and public health. We are not interested in the promotion of any pharmaceutical product or company, rather only public safety. Hopefully, with the help and encouragement of supporters, our project may continue into the future in aggegating more trial data as they become available.

The joint-first authors of the study are Eric Ding, a Doctoral Candidate at Harvard School of Public Health, and Dr. Jingjing Zhang, a researcher in the Renal Division of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Senior author is Dr. Yiqing Song, an instructor of medicine in the Division of Preventive Medicine, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, all in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Eric Ding is the corresponding author and director of this site, permanently archived at www.Cox2DrugReview.org. We recommend reader bookmark that primary permanent URL, as the individual subpages may change over time. Thank you for your interest and hopefully your support of our project.

This study was not directly supported by any federal or private funding. However, Eric Ding was supported by a grant from the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and by an institutional training grant from the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Song was supported by grants from the NIDDK, National Institutes of Health. None of the authors have any financial conflicts of interest.
